Tarpon Fishing In Stuart, Florida
Tarpon fishing in Stuart is my specialty, and I love sharing this incredible fishery with my clients. In Stuart, we pretty much always have a chance to find tarpon, but the tactics and size of fish will vary depending on the time of year.
High-quality electronics are a huge advantage for our trips and we utilize our Humminbird graphs to help us stay on the fish. Once we locate the tarpon, it’s game on! We use a wide variety of tactics to target our tarpon; We throw live bait, soft plastics, topwater, and flies, but there is no better bait than a live mullet. If you want to fish with bait, we will show up with bait in the live well to maximize your fishing time.
Target Species
We have very little bycatch when tarpon fishing, but our primary target is as good as it gets. For those seeking a broader range of species, our inshore fishing trips offer an exciting variety of potential species. Tarpon are a harder fish to catch and it’s not a guarantee every time we go out there, however, there are many days a year where we will hook into 15 fish or more. When it comes to tarpon you can expect impressive fighting power, incredible jumps, and a seemingly endless stamina that will wipe out even the most seasoned anglers.
Where We Fish
Our tarpon trips take place in a variety of inshore locations around Stuart, Fort Pierce, Jupiter, and Melbourne. The locations we fish can change day to day, and that is where my years of experience come into play. Typically, we will fish inlets, bridges, beaches, and drop-offs.
